Cloud Engineer - Serverless & Identity (Top Secret/SCI Required)

North Point Technology is looking to hire a hands-on Cloud Engineer specializing in serverless architecture and identity/security implementation to support a fast-paced AWS cloud program. This is a builder-focused role requiring deep technical expertise rather than an architecture or design-only background. A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

The engineer will own end-to-end implementation of serverless cloud components, including designing and deploying solutions using Amazon OpenSearch and OpenSearch Serverless, building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK with Python, developing and integrating API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB-based workflows, and implementing identity and access engineering patterns including JWT handling, OAuth flows, Lambda authorizers, CRL validation, and JWKS token validation.

Required Skills/Experience

• Amazon OpenSearch and OpenSearch Serverless hands-on implementation
• AWS serverless stack: API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB
• AWS CDK with Python for infrastructure-as-code development
• Identity and access engineering using JWTs and OAuth
• Lambda authorizer development and integration
• Certificate Revocation List (CRL) and JWKS validation

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience delivering solutions in a classified or secure enclave environment
• Familiarity with data lake patterns on AWS

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent)
