My Client, a leading retail and hypermarket organization in Nigeria with a growing network of stores and multiple business operations, is seeking an experienced Head of IT to provide strategic technology leadership across the organization.

This is a senior leadership role for a technology professional with strong retail experience who can align technology strategy with business objectives, drive digital transformation, strengthen IT infrastructure, and use technology to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

What You’ll Do

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the organization’s business objectives, while building a long-term roadmap for technology modernization and growth.

Lead IT & Technology Teams

Build, lead, and develop a high-performing technology team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Drive Digital Transformation

Identify and implement relevant technologies that improve business processes, operational efficiency, customer experience, and overall business performance.

ERP & Enterprise Systems

Lead and oversee enterprise systems and ERP initiatives, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring technology solutions are effectively implemented and aligned with business requirements.

Infrastructure & Architecture

Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure and technology architecture, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting current and future business needs.

Retail Technology

Ensure effective technology support across retail operations, including Point-of-Sale systems, inventory management, e-commerce platforms, and other critical retail applications.

Data & Analytics

Develop effective data management practices and drive the use of analytics and business intelligence to support better decision-making across the organization.

Cybersecurity & Risk

Strengthen cybersecurity measures, technology controls, policies, and procedures to protect business information and mitigate technology-related risks.

Vendor & Partner Management

Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners, negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure external solutions deliver against business and technology requirements.

Innovation

Stay informed on emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities to introduce new solutions that can create value for the business.

Requirements

Who You Are

• B.Tech or relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A technology leader with proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within the retail industry.
• Experienced in developing and executing technology strategies that support business growth and operational objectives.
• Strong track record in digital transformation and technology-enabled business improvement.
• Proven experience with ERP implementation, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong understanding of retail technology, including POS systems, inventory management, e-commerce platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Experienced in managing IT infrastructure, systems architecture, data management, analytics, cybersecurity, and technology operations.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing technology teams.
