Java Developer

Pay Range

$65 - $70/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business users to define requirements and design tools for trade analytics and reporting.
• Develop applications, prototypes, and provide high-level technical consulting.
• Collaborate with team members and business partners to create technology solutions under tight deadlines.
• Analyze configuration changes and identify performance optimization opportunities.
• Support issue resolution and complete ad-hoc requests for business partners within the I&CM division.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in IT, specifically in design, development, integration, and testing of software solutions based on J2EE technologies including servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), and JDBC.
• 5-7 years of experience with relational databases including Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, and/or DB2.
• 2-3 years of experience managing, building, and deploying code using tools such as Eclipse, GIT, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins.
• 2-3 years of experience designing and executing JUnit test cases using the Mockito framework based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
• Ability to think critically and act quickly to evaluate situations and make decisions.
• Flexibility to adapt to new environments and projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
• Capability to thrive in a changing environment with short deadlines.
• Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving skills, and relationship management abilities.
