Key Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural oversight across Pega development, configuration, workflow automation, case management, and business process solutions.
  • Design and oversee integrations between Pega applications and external enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and integration services.
  • Establish Pega development standards, architecture guidelines, reusable components, and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Pega developers, technical leads, and engineering teams.
  • Oversee application performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and technical quality.
  • Support Pega platform upgrades, application modernization, deployment management, and release planning.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and continuous integration practices.
  • Evaluate existing application architecture and identify opportunities for modernization, optimization, and technical improvement.
  • Ensure solutions align with federal security, accessibility, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and product owners to prioritize technical enhancements and resolve complex architectural challenges.
  • Provide technical documentation, architecture diagrams, design reviews, and recommendations to program leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Pega application development and enterprise solution architecture.
  • Active Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex enterprise Pega applications.
  • Strong expertise in Pega Platform architecture, case management, workflows, rules, integrations, and application development.
  • Experience with Pega App Studio, Dev Studio, and enterprise application configuration.
  • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, web services, enterprise integrations, and database technologies.
  • Experience with application performance optimization, scalability, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience providing technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and enterprise software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Pega-based grants management, financial management, or other complex workflow-driven enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with Pega Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX), Dynamic Case Management (DCM), and Pega Deployment Manager.
  • Experience with WSO2 API Manager or similar enterprise API management platforms.
  • Experience integrating Pega applications with external government systems and enterprise databases.
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
