Senior Project Manager (PM3) - Local to MI

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (PM3) to support the State of Michigan Project Management Office and Michigan Department of Treasury on a high-priority, multi-year IT project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation using Clarity.
• Monitor and control project scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and risks.
• Prepare and present project status reports to executives, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Manage stakeholder communications and coordinate with technical and business teams.
• Develop and maintain SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) deliverables, including project charters, schedules, budgets, communication plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, and project closure documents.
• Coordinate project interfaces and communications across multiple agencies.
• Ensure compliance with State of Michigan SUITE PMM and System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
• Manage change requests, corrective action plans, risks, and issues.
• Review vendor contracts, monitor vendor deliverables, and ensure compliance with approval procedures.
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and agency leadership.
• Manage technical teams responsible for system architecture and integration across SaaS solutions.
• 7+ years of IT project management experience.
• 7+ years of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• 7+ years of experience managing project budgets, schedules, change requests, risks, and issues.
• 7+ years of experience developing and presenting project status reports.
• 5+ years of experience using project portfolio management tools such as Clarity.
• 5+ years of advanced working knowledge of MS Project.
• 5+ years of experience managing stakeholders and system owners across departments.
• 5+ years of experience overseeing technical teams involving system architecture and SaaS integrations.
• 5+ years of experience managing IT projects involving Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology.
• 5+ years of experience managing multi-vendor projects in a government environment.
• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining detailed project integration schedules.
• 5+ years of prior developer or senior technical project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).

Highly Desired Qualifications

• Scrum Master Certification.
• PMP Certification.
• ADA Compliance experience.
• File Transfer Service experience.
• Local candidates only (within 90 miles of Dimondale, MI).
• Must be available to work onsite starting Day 1.
• Mandatory onsite days: Tuesday and Wednesday.
• Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote
