AI-Native Electrical Engineer at True Talent Solutions Partners. We’ll keep it in your applied jobs, so you can see it later and be warned before applying to the same employer twice.

About the Role

Join an energy technology team developing high-voltage power systems. You will turn early-stage prototypes into testable alpha hardware for initial design partners, combining hands-on engineering with AI-enabled development workflows.

What You'll Do

  • Develop lab-scale prototypes into structured, validated, customer-ready hardware systems.
  • Design high-voltage DC power conversion, switching, and distribution architectures, including systems using SiC devices.
  • Model and simulate electrical, thermal, and system-level performance with tools such as SPICE and PLECS.
  • Lead lab bring-up, debugging, and characterization of high-power hardware, including switching, timing, sensing, and protection.
  • Use AI tools, including agents and language models, to accelerate design, testing, and iteration.
  • Coordinate PCB fabrication, component sourcing, and packaging with external partners.
  • Make practical tradeoffs across performance, thermal management, reliability, and manufacturability.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience designing, prototyping, and testing power electronics systems.
  • Experience owning hardware from prototype through simulation, bring-up, iteration, and system validation.
  • Hands-on experience with gate-driver design for fast-switching architectures.
  • Proficiency with electrical simulation tools such as SPICE or PLECS, and familiarity with circuit design and high-voltage DC systems.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrated aptitude in power electronics.
  • Strong intuition for electrical systems and the ability to reason across electrical, thermal, and mechanical tradeoffs.
  • Experience integrating AI tools, such as agents or models, into engineering workflows.
  • Background in EVs, EV charging, solar, battery storage, or high-voltage switching systems is useful, including SiC or GaN applications.
