About the Role

Lead product engineering for an education technology company building tools that help K-12 schools create schedules for teachers and students. You will manage multiple product squads, shape the engineering organization, and help deliver reliable, high-value product capabilities as the company grows.

What You'll Do

  • Own delivery and team leadership across product squads focused on scheduling, visibility and reporting, and elementary education.
  • Start in a hands-on role, contributing code, reviewing work, and pairing with engineers, with the balance shifting toward organizational leadership over time.
  • Make technical architecture decisions that support platform reliability and future growth.
  • Partner with product and school-facing teams to set squad goals and align engineering priorities with business outcomes.
  • Deliver product improvements ahead of the school scheduling season, including AI-powered capabilities.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 3 years of engineering management experience and 2 to 3 or more years managing multiple teams, including experience scaling teams and leading other managers.
  • A track record of owning product or business outcomes such as delivery speed, quality, growth, retention, or margins.
  • Strong backend architecture and design experience, sound technical judgment, and a willingness to remain hands-on.
  • Experience with TypeScript or Python, AWS, and MongoDB; the broader stack includes React.
  • Background in K-12 education technology or related learning and teaching fields, ideally in a mission-driven environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-growing environment, communicate technical trade-offs clearly, and align cross-functional partners.
  • Experience learning and applying AI capabilities.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without new visa sponsorship, or eligibility for a visa transfer, and ability to travel for occasional company gatherings and business needs.
