- Own end-to-end engineering change management performance, ensuring Change Orders, Manufacturing Changes, Deviations, and Stop Ships are processed accurately and within target cycle times.
- Set, track, and report team KPIs including on-time delivery of engineering packages, change order cycle time, VAVE savings, and team capacity utilization.
- Support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to identify and eliminate areas of high cost in products including UPS, batteries, power switching, and distribution equipment.
- Oversee data integration and analysis supporting project execution, CPQ configurator rules, Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy, and business application development.
Talent & Organization Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and individual contributors; conduct performance reviews, provide improvement feedback, and build succession plans.
- Recruit, train, and onboard new team members as necessary to maintain team capacity.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing engineering to ensure seamless design-to-production transitions.
- Partner with product management and sales to support customer technical engagements as needed.
- Interface with regulatory and certification team members to ensure product compliance within the market.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline; Electrical Engineering is preferred
- 10+ years of experience as a technical manager, with a history of progression in managerial roles.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
- Technical knowledge of 3-phase power systems, UPS products, power switching and distribution equipment, and transformer design fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., fabrication, machining, casting, electronics, or similar)
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, engineering change order processes, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and cost structures
- Experience developing cross-functional and cross-regional relationships to achieve business objectives
