Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer with strong expertise in UX/UI design, Figma, and Design Systems to support a digital wealth and self-directed investing platform.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, maintaining, and enhancing design systems, including reusable components and design libraries for native iOS and Android applications.

This role requires a detail-oriented designer who can take ownership of design system development, collaborate closely with developers, and ensure consistent, accessible, and high-quality user experiences across mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable UI components and design systems in Figma.
• Identify design system requirements, proactively recognize potential gaps and risks, and recommend effective solutions.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure components are technically feasible and aligned with platform requirements and standards.
• Design detailed interaction patterns, visual elements, and UI states for native iOS and Android applications.
• Perform Design QA on implemented features and components to ensure consistency with approved design specifications.
• Create and maintain clear design system documentation and guidelines to support other designers and development teams.
• Publish, manage, and update Figma design libraries to ensure components are accessible and reusable across the platform.
• Ensure all components meet WCAG accessibility standards and applicable device-level accessibility requirements.
• Adapt and update components to align with evolving mobile platform guidelines and capabilities, including Apple's Liquid Glass design language.
• Maintain consistency with established design principles, branding guidelines, and overall product experience.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI Design or Product Design.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Figma, including component creation, design libraries, prototyping, and design documentation.
• Proven experience building, owning, and maintaining design systems and reusable UI components.
• Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and native mobile UI patterns.
• Experience designing for both native iOS and Android applications.
• Understanding of responsive web design and mobile application design principles.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including:
• Adobe After Effects for animations.
• Adobe Illustrator for custom 2D and 3D illustrations.
• Adobe InDesign for page layouts.
• Strong conceptual thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate design concepts effectively to diverse audiences and incorporate constructive feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design, design systems, and mobile application design.
• Banking and financial services knowledge.
• Investing or wealth management knowledge.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to create high-fidelity prototypes, user flow diagrams, and storyboards.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS to produce web-ready design assets.
• Personal experience or interest in self-directed investing, wealth management, or digital investment platforms.

Work Model

• Hybrid (3 days onsite- will be moving to 4 days per week onsite)
