Product Analyst / Technical Business Analyst – Veeva Safety

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst / Product Analyst with strong expertise in Veeva Vault Safety, including system configuration, technical solution design, and pharmacovigilance processes.

This is a technically focused Business Analyst position, not a traditional functional or business-process-oriented BA role.

The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the Veeva Safety platform, its technical architecture, configuration capabilities, workflows, data structures, and integration landscape.

The candidate should be able to understand complex pharmacovigilance business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications, configuration designs, and actionable implementation solutions within Veeva Safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with pharmacovigilance stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and configuration teams to gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, Veeva Safety configuration requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze existing Veeva Safety configurations and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Understand and support configuration of Veeva Safety objects, fields, lifecycles, workflows, permissions, business rules, and data structures.
• Perform technical gap analysis between business requirements and existing Veeva Safety capabilities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement platform enhancements and configuration changes.
• Support integration requirements, API-related analysis, data mapping, and migration activities.
• Understand end-to-end adverse event case processing, safety workflows, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Participate in technical design discussions and identify system dependencies, configuration limitations, and potential implementation challenges.
• Support system testing, validation, UAT, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
• Ensure technical solutions align with pharmacovigilance processes and regulatory compliance requirements.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Veeva Vault Safety, including implementation, configuration, or technical solution design.
• Deep understanding of Veeva Safety objects, fields, workflows, lifecycles, business rules, permissions, and system configuration.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and actionable configuration designs.
• Strong understanding of Veeva Safety architecture, data models, and integration touchpoints.
• Experience with technical business analysis, system enhancement, and configuration-related requirements.
• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance processes, adverse event case management, and regulatory safety reporting.
• Experience working with technical teams on system integrations, data mapping, APIs, or migration activities.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Veeva Vault Safety certification.
• Experience with Veeva Vault APIs and integrations.
