Job Role-Computer Programmer

Position Overview

The Client is seeking a Junior Computer Programmer / Application Integration Developer to enhance and expand functionality for data integrations. The selected candidate will join an existing team of Windows Application Developers using C# and VB.NET within Windows Forms and WCF web services.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and 2-week sprints to develop interfaces for the Delta+ Windows application suite.
• Create tasks for PBIs based on user stories.
• Develop Windows services using C# and VB.NET with DevExpress controls.
• Perform testing and code reviews.
• Improve existing Windows applications through requested enhancements.
• Assist with upgrading systems and modules within the existing Windows application framework.
• Maintain source code improvements to keep applications aligned with current technology and security standards.
• Ensure WCF web services use up-to-date security standards and technologies as needed.
• Support ongoing development of additional application features.
• Assist the Client with documentation of existing and future system designs.
• Update and improve end-user documentation as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of computer programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing Windows Services using C# and VB.NET.
• Minimum 2 years of experience designing and implementing systems using WCF services.
• Experience with REST/SOAP services.
• Experience with JSON.

Preferred

• Experience with Team Foundation Server (Azure DevOps).
• Experience creating and updating code using DevExpress controls.
• Knowledge of MWM (Model-View-View-Model) and its application to the software development cycle.
• Windows Forms experience.
