Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ADF Application Developer with strong expertise in Oracle ADF modernization, Java upgrades, WebLogic middleware migration, enterprise integrations, and application support.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience modernizing legacy Oracle ADF applications from ADF 12c to ADF 14c, upgrading JDK 8 to Java 21, and migrating applications to WebLogic 14.1.2.x. The candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting complex enterprise applications, performing regression testing, resolving production issues, and supporting mission-critical HR or financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrade and modernize Oracle ADF applications from ADF 12c to ADF 14c.
• Upgrade and remediate ADF Faces, ADF Business Components (ADF BC), task flows, bindings, and application configurations.
• Migrate and deploy enterprise applications to Oracle WebLogic 14.1.2.x.
• Perform Java modernization from JDK 8 to Java 21.
• Identify and remediate deprecated Java APIs and application compatibility issues.
• Handle javax to jakarta namespace migration, including JAXB, JTA, and related enterprise Java changes.
• Support enterprise Java applications running on Java 21/GraalVM where applicable.
• Troubleshoot WebLogic deployment, application startup, class-loading, configuration, and runtime issues.
• Perform JVM tuning, including G1GC/ZGC optimization and memory/performance troubleshooting.
• Validate SSL/TLS 1.3 compatibility and secure application connectivity.
• Support WebLogic and middleware deployments in OCI/cloud-based environments.
• Upgrade and validate REST and SOAP web service integrations.
• Modernize Jersey implementations from 1.x/2.x to 3.x.
• Support and troubleshoot SFTP/SSH integrations, Quartz Scheduler, MyBatis, and other enterprise middleware components.
• Analyze application dependencies and resolve compatibility issues introduced during platform upgrades.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, UAT, performance, and production validation testing.
• Conduct performance benchmarking and identify application or infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and provide root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, middleware, business, and application support teams.
• Support UAT activities, defect resolution, deployment validation, and release readiness.
• Maintain technical documentation for application upgrades, configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide production support for mission-critical HR, financial, or enterprise business applications.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle ADF 12c and ADF 14c.
• Proven experience performing ADF modernization/upgrades.
• Strong Java development experience with JDK 8 through Java 21.
• Experience with Java/Jakarta EE migration.
• Strong Oracle WebLogic 12c/14c administration and application deployment experience.
• Experience with WebLogic 14.1.2.x.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP web services and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with Jersey, JAXB, JTA, MyBatis, Quartz, SFTP/SSH or similar middleware technologies.
• Experience with JVM tuning, SSL/TLS, application troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong regression testing and UAT support experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
