Enterprise SRE & Cloud Architect

Mandatory Requirements

• More than seven (7) years of experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role.
• Five (5) years of experience in a dedicated Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps leadership/architectural role.
• Five (5) years of experience architecting and implementing GitLab DevSecOps pipelines.

Desirable Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent cloud architect certification.
• 5 years of experience defining and implementing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) across enterprise organizations.
• Cybersecurity certification, such as CRISC, CISSP or similar.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Enterprise SRE and Cloud Architect (Architect III) is a principal-level technical leader responsible for defining the strategic direction, architectural standards, and operational governance for system reliability, cloud infrastructure, and continuous delivery across enterprise platforms. Operating at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure operations, and cybersecurity, this role champions a culture of reliability and security-first automation. You will design resilient hybrid and AWS cloud environments, establish enterprise-wide DevSecOps practices using GitLab, and define the service level standards (SLOs/SLIs) that guarantee high availability, performance, and security compliance for mission-critical public sector applications.

• Enterprise Cloud & Hybrid Architecture: Design and architect highly resilient, scalable, secure, and cost-optimized infrastructure frameworks across AWS cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, ensuring alignment with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and modern security standards.
• GitLab DevSecOps Pipeline Engineering: Architect, standardize, and govern enterprise-wide GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Integrate automated security scanning (SAST/DAST), compliance checks, and vulnerability management directly into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to achieve continuous, secure delivery.
• SRE Standards & Observability Governance: Define, implement, and govern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) standards across the organization. Establish robust Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical business applications, and design comprehensive observability and alerting frameworks.
• Automation & Self-Healing Systems: Lead the design and implementation of automated deployment, scaling, configuration management, and self-healing infrastructure systems to minimize manual operational overhead and maximize system uptime.
• Incident Management & Continuous Improvement: Drive high-severity incident response, lead blameless post-mortem reviews, and conduct root-cause analyses (RCAs) to identify systemic vulnerabilities, translating operational failures into actionable engineering improvements.
• Technical Leadership & Architectural Governance: Provide strategic technical leadership, architectural oversight, and governance to SRE, DevOps, and security engineering teams. Establish coding and infrastructure standards, conduct architectural reviews, and mentor senior technical staff.
