Position Overview

Project Nova is a multi-year platform transformation program focused on building a new cloud-native Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) platform while re-implementing and migrating existing PBM capabilities and client business in phases. The engineering lead will manage the engineering and delivery of the Nova platform, including core services, data, runtime, and shared components that support product development. This individual will partner closely with the Platform Architect, who owns the target architecture and technical standards. The Engineering Lead will own the engineering team, delivery timelines, and ensure the platform can support production-level performance and capacity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery across cloud-native platform services, backend systems, data, runtime, and shared components.
• Manage engineering teams, delivery timelines, and cross-functional execution across complex programs.
• Partner with the Platform Architect to implement target architecture and engineering standards.
• Oversee platform performance testing, including load, soak, throughput, latency, and recovery.
• Ensure the platform can support production-level volumes and performance requirements.
• Lead capacity planning, monitoring, and resource allocation for testing across multiple delivery teams.
• Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform stability, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate engineering delivery across multiple workstreams and ensure consistent performance standards.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional Degree required.
• Strong healthcare and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry experience.
• Proven experience leading engineering delivery and complex platform transformation programs.
• Strong AWS and cloud-native platform engineering experience.
• Experience with backend systems, capacity monitoring, and Site Reliability Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong performance engineering experience at enterprise scale.
