Overview

A federal program needs a senior engineer to lead the build-out of secure AWS foundations that can scale. You will move teams off hand-built environments and onto consistent, automated, governed infrastructure, including deployments with strict operational limits.

What You Will Do

  • Create repeatable processes to deploy and migrate workloads in restricted AWS environments.
  • Stand up and maintain AWS Landing Zone Accelerator along with multi-account governance.
  • Use infrastructure as code to keep dev, test, and production in sync.
  • Design blue/green deployments and test controlled rollback steps.

What You Bring

  • Direct, hands-on implementation of AWS Landing Zone Accelerator.
  • 5+ years engineering AWS infrastructure or cloud migrations.
  • Working knowledge of AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and governance through infrastructure as code.
  • A record of solid work in tightly controlled environments.

Nice to Have

  • Designing resilient cutover and migration approaches.
  • Experience in GovCloud, AWS commercial, or other restricted AWS partitions.
  • AWS Professional or Specialty certification. Security+ or CISSP if applicable.

Additional Requirements

  • Current, active TS/SCI. You must also qualify for SCI indoctrination and any program-level access approvals the customer requires.
  • U.S. citizenship is required under the terms of the government contract.
  • You must live within a reasonable daily commute of the secure site in Herndon, VA or Washington, DC.
  • Full-time and fully on-site in an accredited secure facility, with occasional visits to approved customer sites. Remote work is not an option.
