Overview

A federal program needs a hands-on engineer to build AWS platforms that keep running reliably without access to the usual internet-connected tools. The goal is AWS infrastructure that is secure, repeatable, and simpler to operate day to day.

What You Will Do

  • Automate patching, configuration management, and routine operational upkeep.
  • Support platform services including Amazon EKS, Systems Manager, and AWS WorkSpaces.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Create CI/CD pipelines and repeatable deployment patterns that work in restricted environments.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in cloud platform engineering or DevOps.
  • Strong infrastructure as code background, especially AWS CDK written in TypeScript or Python.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working day to day in Git.
  • Comfort working in highly controlled environments.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on time with Systems Manager, EKS, and AWS WorkSpaces.
  • Deploying automation into isolated or tightly restricted networks.
  • AWS Professional or Specialty certification. Security+ or CISSP is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Current, active TS/SCI. You must also qualify for SCI indoctrination and any program-level access approvals the customer requires.
  • U.S. citizenship is required under the terms of the government contract.
  • You must live within a reasonable daily commute of the secure site in Herndon, VA or Washington, DC.
  • Full-time and fully on-site in an accredited secure facility, with occasional visits to approved customer sites. Remote work is not an option.
