Notes from my call with CAT Account Team

• Project Overview and Team Structure: Breanna explained that the project involves integrating new functionality into CAT's parts pricing application, with a Peoria-based leadership team guiding Latin America resources, and all work direction provided by Britt (Manager) and the CAT IT teams.
• Application Functionality Expansion: Breanna described that the application, currently built by over 50 developers in India, is designed to optimize CAT's parts pricing by automating manual processes and handling 17 million parts. The new team will focus on quickly proving out new functionalities, gathering requirements, and determining feasibility within the existing application.
• Team Roles and Responsibilities: The Peoria-based team will act as leaders, with Latin America resources taking guidance from them. The team will not be architecting but will focus on functionality, code review, performance optimization, and defect handling. All work direction will come from Britt and the CAT IT teams, with Client helping coordinate and keep processes in check.
• Communication Expectations: Breanna emphasized the need for strong communication skills, especially for at least one senior resource who can interact with various organizational levels, including potentially presenting to leadership such as the GCIO.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
