About The Job

• Experience Range: 6-10 Years
• We are looking for a Telecom Core Network Domain Expert with hands-on Data Engineering experience to support network data pipelines, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
• The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Core Network technologies along with practical experience in Python, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and PySpark to transform telecom network data into actionable insights.

Essential Job Functions

Telecom Core Network Responsibilities

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Core Network architecture, protocols, and network data sources.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, OSS/BSS, and NOC teams to define network data requirements.
• Analyze network KPIs, signaling traces, CDRs/xDRs, PM counters, and FM alarms.
• Support Network Operations, Performance Monitoring, Capacity Planning, and optimization initiatives.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using network data and analytics.
• Document network data flows, schemas, interfaces, and business rules.
• Ensure compliance with telecom data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.

Data Engineering Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, PySpark, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Transform, process, and enrich telecom network data for analytics and reporting.
• Implement data quality controls, validations, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Support telecom analytics, dashboarding, and operational reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver actionable network insights.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

Telecom Core Network

• Strong expertise in 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G Core Network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with EPC and 5G Core components such as AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF, and IMS.
• Strong knowledge of telecom protocols and interfaces including:
• Diameter
• SS7
• SIP
• GTP
• RADIUS

Experience working with

• CDRs/xDRs
• Performance Management (PM) Counters
• Fault Management (FM) Alarms
• Signaling Traces
• Strong understanding of OSS/BSS systems and telecom vendor platforms such as Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei.
• Deep understanding of telecom network KPIs including:
• Throughput
• Latency
• Call Drop Rate
• Handover Success Rate
• Experience supporting Network Operations, Performance Monitoring, Capacity Planning, or Optimization functions.

Data Engineering Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Experience using PySpark for large-scale data processing and transformation.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with telecom analytics and reporting solutions.
• Exposure to Machine Learning use cases including:
• Anomaly Detection
• Predictive Maintenance
• Network Performance Optimization
• Experience working on large-scale telecom transformation or modernization programs.

Preferred Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling large-scale telecom datasets.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams including Network Engineering, Operations, and Data Engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex network data into meaningful business insights.
