About The Job

• Provide first- and second-line operational support for Microsoft Teams Phone services across multiple countries and sites, with guidance from senior engineers where required.
• The role focuses on routine administration, initial incident diagnosis, service request fulfilment, monitoring and user support within established procedures, architecture, standards and change controls.

Essential Job Functions

• Support day-to-day Teams Phone services, including certified devices, user calling features and basic connectivity checks.
• Fulfil standard requests for phone numbers, calling policies, voicemail, auto attendants, call queues, resource accounts and user moves by following documented procedures.
• Monitor service health and call quality; perform initial checks for signalling, routing, media, network and device issues.
• Manage assigned incidents from triage through resolution, keeping users informed and escalating complex issues to senior engineers, vendors or carriers.
• Carry out approved administrative tasks through Teams admin centre and PowerShell under established access and change procedures.
• Update runbooks, knowledge articles, number inventories and configuration records; identify recurring issues for review by the wider team.

Qualifications

Required Profile

• Some practical experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 or business telephony in a service desk or technical support environment.
• Foundational knowledge of PSTN, SIP, Clients, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, telephone numbering and dial plans.
• Familiarity with Teams admin centre; basic PowerShell knowledge or a willingness to develop it for documented operational tasks.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge across DNS, firewalls, network quality and common device or call-flow issues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, licensing and role-based access.
• Good ticket management, customer communication and documentation skills, with the ability to follow procedures and collaborate across countries and time zones.
• Desirable rather than essential: Microsoft Teams training or certification, ITIL awareness, Client exposure or experience with contact centres and legacy telephony.
