Pay Range

Key Responsibilities

• We are seeking an experienced High Availability Mainframe Developer to support mainframe application development, production troubleshooting, application enhancements, and maintenance.
• The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with COBOL, Assembler, and CICS, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to Agile/Scrum team deliverables.
• Develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot mainframe applications to support business and operational requirements.
• Analyze assigned mainframe enhancements and production fixes, review existing code and configuration changes, and provide appropriate implementation solutions.
• Provide Tier III production support, including in-depth troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex application issues.
• Support application maintenance, production incidents, testing, and implementation activities.
• Document production issues, diagnoses, actions taken, resolutions or escalations, root-cause findings, and runbook updates, as applicable.
• Perform assigned analysis, development, testing, debugging, and implementation tasks within agreed timelines.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Follow established coding standards, development best practices, and quality benchmarks.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
• Link deliverables to assigned team work items and provide status updates and knowledge transfer.
• Address code review comments and submit required deliverables to Navy Federal for review against agreed acceptance criteria.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• The ideal candidate is a hands-on mainframe developer with strong COBOL, Assembler, and CICS skills, experience supporting production applications, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience in banking or financial services and familiarity with FIS Systematics or Connex will be an added advantage not must have
• Note: The client has identified the technical skills and responsibilities above as required, while FIS Systematics, Connex, JCL, DB2, Agile/Scrum, and core banking experience are preferred.
